GOLFWEEK KICKS OFF FALL GOLF SEASON WITH ANNUAL COLLEGE PREVIEW ISSUE

ORLANDO, Fla., (Sept. 9, 2010) – Golfweek magazine – the publication preferred by serious golfers – will celebrate the start of the upcoming 2010-2011 collegiate golf season with the Friday release of its annual College Preview Issue. Complete with exclusive features, comprehensive preseason rankings and the debut of Golfweek’s Best Campus Courses list, this highly anticipated special issue provides an in-depth look at what to expect as the new NCAA golf season gets underway.

“It really should be a fantastic season on the college front with so many talented players returning, and it’s our goal to give our readers all the tools they’ll need to be ready for the new campaign,” said Golfweek editor Jeff Babineau. “So many of tomorrow’s stars are currently competing on the college level, and we enjoy identifying those players and telling their stories to readers. Nobody in the business exhibits more passion for the college game and devotes as many people to covering it in the magazine and online, with stories, blogs and videos, than we do.”

The core of Golfweek’s College Preview is its comprehensive rankings of the NCAA’s best men’s and women’s teams and individuals. Oklahoma State, led by U.S. Amateur champion Peter Uihlein, tops the men’s preseason list, ahead of Augusta State, the NCAA’s defending champion. On the women’s side, Purdue, which returns Maude-Aimee LeBlanc and all five starters from the 2009-2010 national championship squad, is ranked No. 1, ahead of PAC-10 powers UCLA and USC.

Along with the rankings, Golfweek’s College Preview presents an interesting look at the decision facing many top high school players today: Turn pro or head to college? In an in-depth article titled “Dollars or Degrees?,” Golfweek Senior Writer Beth Ann Baldry takes a penetrating look at the pros and cons involved in making such a big decision, talking to U.S. Amateur runner-up Jessica Korda.

This exciting special issue also features Golfweek’s popular mainstays – including the magazine’s notable Forecaddie section – as well as the premiere of Golfweek’s Best Campus Courses, which showcases the top 30 collegiate courses across the country. The Course at Yale (New Haven, Conn.), Taconic Golf Club at Williams College (Williamstown, Mass.) and Palouse Ridge Golf Club at Washington State (Pullman, Wash.) lead the list, which spans 22 states.

Additional college coverage can be found online exclusively at Golfweek.com, including:

CityGolfTour.com Delivers On-Demand Tournament Play for Average Golfers

CityGolfTour.com recently launched an entertaining new website that provides ANY golfer, across the United States, with the opportunity to compete in national golf tournaments, play from their favorite home course, and compete for prize money. The intuitive website makes it easy to become part of a growing tournament roster and actually win more than bragging rights for once. All you need is a USGA handicap and a CityGolfTour membership.

This new concept in tournament play means CityGolfTour.com members play a REAL round of golf on any USGA golf course by selecting a tournament, entering their handicap, and after they play, posting their score on the website. Each golfer will be competing against other CityGolfTour.com members doing the same across the U.S. CitygolfTour.com has made it convenient and cost effective to compete in a tournament format that works with any golfer’s schedule.

Benefits of CityGolfTour.com for Golfers with USGA Handicap:
Any Golfer with USGA Handicap can compete
Play from your favorite local course
Earn Prize Money
Compete on a Level Playing Field
A portion of proceeds goes to charity
No more scheduling issues
No high price tournament fees

Golfers at every skill level are invited to compete. CityGolfTour.com uses a combination of the player's USGA handicap, the slope and rating of the course they're playing, and some secret sauce algorithm to level the playing field for fair competition. A total of $500 in cash prizes are awarded to the top 20 players, while 10% of all tournament entry fees go to charity.

CityGolfTour.com is the brainchild of husband and wife team, Jack Hutt and Wendy Anderson of Shoreline, WA. They have been playing with this idea for 8-10 years and due to a corporate lay-off, decided to make it happen. According to Jack, "Not since greenskeeper Carl Spackler fired the shot heard 'round the world from the mum bed of Bushwood C.C., has the amateur golfer been more celebrated."
How Average Golfers Can Win Tournament Prize Money:

1. Become a CityGolfTour member
2. Pick a tournament event and register
3. Play a round of golf on any USGA rated golf course
4. Post your score to your USGA handicap
5. Post your score to CityGolfTour.com before the tournament end date
6. Watch the CityGolfTour leaderboard to see how you finish
Boxgroove provides members with meaningful opportunities to play private golf clubs around the U.S., a powerful arena for business and social networking, a simple Web-based method of accessing tee times at private golf clubs and a national community that shares passion for the game.
2010 MASTERS CHAMPION PHIL MICKELSON REVEALS REVOLUTIONARY SHORT GAME TIPS AND INSIGHT IN WORLD TELEVISION PREMIERE

PHIL MICKELSON REVEALS SHORT GAME TIPS, TRICKS AND INSIGHT IN WORLD TELEVISION PREMIERE PHIL MICKELSON: SECRETS OF THE SHORT GAME DEBUTS JULY 1 ON PAY-PER-VIEW AND VIDEO ON DEMANDNew York, N. Y. June 23, 2010 - Phil Mickelson, 2010 Masters champion and one of the top golfers in the world, will reveal his inside tips to improving everyone's golf game as PHIL MICKELSON: SECRETS OF THE SHORT GAME makes its world-wide television debut Thursday, July 1 on pay-per-view and video on demand.

Mickelson, a three-time Masters champion and winner of 34 PGA Tour events, including four major championships, is long known for his masterful short game. In this program he reveals his unique philosophy on the short game, and provides detailed instruction in a variety of areas including: chipping, flop shots, bunker play and specialty shots. He also shares his most memorable short game moments and behind-the-scenes footage.

PHIL MICKELSON: SECRETS OF THE SHORT GAME will premiere Thursday, July 1 at 9:00 PM ET/6:00 PM PT on pay-per-view via cable systems and satellite providers. The two-hour program was recorded in High Definition and will be closed-captioned (where available) and available throughout the summer. It will also be available on video on demand on many cable systems. The suggested retail price is $19.99.

Emmy Award-winning producer/director Terry Jastrow, who has produced hugely popular instructional tapes with Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and others, is the show's executive producer.

"No great golfer has done an instructional program in more than two decades. For years people have acknowledged that Phil has a superior short game, but the question they still ask is, 'How does he do it?' Here Phil finally gives his answers," said Jastrow, president of Jastrow Productions. "Mickelson has been outspoken on various topics throughout his career and continues to be so in sharing his "Secrets."

PHIL MICKELSON REVEALS SHORT GAME TIPS, TRICKS AND INSIGHT IN WORLD TELEVISION PREMIERE PHIL MICKELSON: SECRETS OF THE SHORT GAME DEBUTS JULY 1 ON PAY-PER-VIEW AND VIDEO ON DEMAND "My ideas about the short game are very different from a lot of the instruction I see out there," said Mickelson, "so it was a lot of fun to put this together with Terry and I'm very pleased with the way it turned out. The goal here is help golfers build a foundation so that their practice time directly correlates to improved scoring on the golf course."

Commenting on two outdated chipping tips; that "the club should go back and through the same distance" or, that there should be "no wrist" in the swing: Mickelson states, "If anybody teaches you one of those two methods, go somewhere else. There is one great way to chip and it is a method that I call "hinge and hold." There has never been a good chipper who does not conform to this technique." The program focuses on all shots from 50 yards in, and includes sections on chipping, sand shots, and the flop shot Mickelson popularized soon after he joined the PGA Tour in 1992.

"This is the first time ever that PPV and VOD cable television customers will be able to access such high level instruction from a person of Mickelson's caliber," said iN DEMAND's President & CEO, Bob Benya. "This step-by step tutorial provides the viewer with an unmatched bounty of valuable, in-depth instruction and analysis from Mickelson."

MultiVision Media, one of the leading distributors of pay-per-view sports and events programming, will be distributing the show throughout the United States and Canada.

"Phil Mickelson has made his mark this year and the timing of the show couldn't be any better for our networks and affiliates," said Brian Ricco, president of MultiVision Media, Inc. "Who wouldn't want to learn from the best? We are hoping to raise Phil's name up with the top Hollywood draws, the Pacquiao's, De La Hoya's and Mayweather's and make a statement on the PPV and video on demand platforms. These platforms provide great distribution channels for instructional sports and this show can provide a real boost for the category."
